The technical execution of the action and the magnetism of Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista frequently collide with the soullessness of a shamelessly algorithmic script, but in the end, the protagonists' charisma ensures victory, proving that a good duo can carry even the most formulaic screenplay."

This is a good sequel to the South Park episode. A relatively uninspired action buddy comedy where they just throw in that the guy is a cop and the other guy is a seal. Or are they both seals? You know...there's a lot you don't need to know in this. You don't need to watch it but you can and you won't be surprised nor disappointed.

"The Wrecking Crew" is aptly named. This action flick, for me, early on wrecked any chance that I'd actually enjoy this film. I'll put my hand up and say I'm sick and tired of the gratuitous violence oozing out of Hollywood. The light, jokey tone of this film is at odds with oftentimes really ugly violence. Entirely smashing someone's upper teeth against a table in the opening scenes is one such example. It's not funny; it's not okay, its not entertaining, no matter who it's done to. This movie was actually a better popcorn action movie than most of these poictacal thrillers come hijack come heists movies of late that are ok for a shelf filler as I would say in my video shop days. I would recommended it for exactly what it is and the known stars. Both well known for brawn.Funny and watchable to the end, if you dont get bored with the non stop violence. 7/10

This film doesn't pass the Bechdel test, which is disappointing in 2026 yet unsurprising for your usual action film. The women were great in the film but they weren't given much to play with from the script, it was all focussed on the male characters. The "comedy" is cringy. There must be over 10 fat "jokes" if you're going to tell a fat joke, at least make it funny and have some originality but most of them were just calling people fat f*cks and then expecting us to laugh. 80's buddy cop movie, updated. This reminds me a lot of buddy cop movies from the 80s or Hobbs and Shaw. But this movie also has a functioning dysfunctional dynamic between the main characters. A bad guy that works, phenomenal casting, and also great selection of music. It's simply a good enough time and I'm happy that this got made. It's great to see Dave doing something like this and he gets some room to breathe. Jason compliments him very well and the two of them have a natural enough flow. I highly recommend this movie and I enjoyed it...
